A no-hot-water call led to the electrical supply
The Santa Rosa Beach customer called because the tankless water heater was not producing hot water. The technician inspected the equipment area and checked the outlet that supplies power to the unit.
Testing found no voltage at the existing receptacle. Because a tankless water heater depends on a reliable electrical supply for its controls and operation, the outlet needed to be addressed before the equipment could be expected to work normally.
A GFCI receptacle is designed to interrupt power when it detects an unsafe current imbalance, adding important protection where electrical equipment is installed near moisture.
The original receptacle was replaced with GFCI protection
After the findings and replacement option were discussed, the customer approved replacing the outlet. The original receptacle was removed and a GFCI receptacle was installed in its place.
The supplied photos document the complete tankless water-heater installation, the original receptacle before replacement, and a clear close-up of the new GFCI outlet. The full proof graphic is also preserved with the project record.
