The damaged commercial mop sink was inspected first
The customer called A Superior Mechanical for a commercial mop sink repair. The before photo documents the existing floor-mounted basin with visible damage along the front corner and wear inside the sink.
After inspecting the fixture, the licensed plumber determined that the damaged basin was beyond a practical repair. The customer approved replacement so the cleaning area could receive a new, intact service sink instead of a temporary patch on the old fixture.
The completed project removed the visibly damaged fixture, exposed and prepared the drain area, and installed a new commercial mop sink for the customer's cleaning needs.
The old basin was removed and the drain area prepared
The work-in-progress photo shows the floor opening and drain connection after the old mop sink was removed. Exposing the drain area allowed the plumber to clear away the failed fixture and prepare the existing connection for the replacement basin.
A commercial fixture replacement must account for the sink dimensions, drain position, water supply, surrounding floor and wall conditions, and the way the cleaning area is used. Documenting this stage preserves a clear record of the work that is normally hidden beneath the finished sink.
A new commercial mop sink completed the replacement
The after photo shows the new white floor-mounted mop sink positioned beneath the existing service faucet with a new drain strainer centered in the basin. The replacement restores a dedicated location for filling and emptying cleaning buckets at the commercial property.
