A non-cooling system needed more than a quick adjustment
The Carillon Beach customer contacted A Superior Mechanical because the air conditioning system was not cooling. The technician evaluated the existing equipment and found no refrigerant in the system, a condition that requires diagnosis of the underlying equipment and refrigerant-circuit problem before deciding whether repair or replacement makes sense.
The original outdoor equipment was documented during the visit. Based on the condition of the system and the available options, the customer chose a new high-efficiency crossover system to replace the existing equipment.
The new Bryant crossover system increased the documented cooling efficiency from 14 to 16 SEER while replacing equipment that was no longer cooling.
A Bryant crossover system replaced the original equipment
The completed project photos show the new Bryant outdoor unit installed on its equipment pad, the nearby disconnects and service connections, a detailed side view, and the indoor equipment documented with the HVAC technician.
The upgrade moved from a 14 SEER system to a 16 SEER system. Using comparable SEER ratings and the same cooling load, that rating change represents about 12.5% less cooling electricity. Actual savings depend on weather, thermostat settings, building conditions, system sizing, installation, maintenance, and operating patterns.
HVAC replacement for Carillon Beach and Panama City Beach
A Superior Mechanical provides air conditioning diagnostics, repair, replacement, installation, and maintenance throughout Carillon Beach, Panama City Beach, and Bay County. Our team can compare repair and replacement options using the system condition, refrigerant issue, equipment age, efficiency, comfort goals, and project cost.
If an air conditioner stops cooling, loses refrigerant, requires repeated repairs, creates uneven temperatures, or has become unusually noisy, schedule a professional evaluation. The best choice depends on identifying the failure and matching the replacement equipment to the property rather than relying on efficiency ratings alone.
